Unified Defense, metal fabricator, and Prince Service & Manufacturing formally join forces to bolster growth on the national market
August 22, 2022 – Unified Defense, a Byron, Georgia-based metal fabricator, is delighted to announce the completion of its acquisition of Prince Service & Manufacturing based in Macon.
Founded in 1965, Prince Service & Manufacturing has maintained its reputation for superior metal work and rapid delivery over 3 generations. Prince has 2 locations in Macon, Georgia that produce metal parts ranging from intricate, tight tolerance machining to heavy plate fabrication of large weldments. Today, Prince is one of the leading contract manufacturers in Middle Georgia.
Unified Defense has doubled its size annually over the last 4 years and sees growing opportunity on the national market. This is core to the growth strategy for the combined companies. Acquiring Prince with its 50-year legacy of precision manufacturing excellence, provides a deeper foundation of expertise and service offerings to fuel this strategy. While smaller in size, Unified Defense’s strong growth and vision will bring new dynamism to the Prince team and brand.
Existing customers from both companies will benefit from new operational flexibility and expanded geographic reach in Middle Georgia. Specifically, Unified Defense customers will benefit from a wider scope of services such as precision cutting and machining capabilities and significantly expanding its forming and fabrication capacities. They will also benefit from entirely new offerings from Prince’s outside service division.
The foundation for success is already forged. Unified Defense and Prince Service & Manufacturing have developed a successful working relationship on a range of projects over the past 3 years. The two companies share a commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and team spirit. Eric Williams, CEO of Unified Defense, knows the Prince team and respects the Prince brand and family history. With a strong business relationship already in place, Eric and his new leadership team are well positioned to build the next shared chapter of success as a leading contract manufacturing solution in and beyond the State of Georgia.
Quote Eric Williams, CEO of Unified Defense: “For Unified Defense, joining forces with our friends at Prince simply formalizes a solid partnership that we have built over the past 3 years. UD has been growing rapidly on the national market, and together with Prince and the capacity they bring, we are well positioned to take on larger projects and grow nationally. We are happy to welcome all customers and all employees from Prince and we are excited about the next chapter ahead!”
Quote from Art Prince, CEO of Prince Service & Manufacturing: ‘’I am excited to launch the next step of Prince Service & Manufacturing history by joining forces with Unified Defense.
